1300cc
power has arrived.
|
Cadwell
Park 25th June 2006.
|
||
|
We
have completed the installation and testing of the Suzuki 1300cc engine
installation into the LR1 chassis. The engine in fully standard form
fitted with a SBD
Motorsport fully programable engine managment system is pushing
out a healthy 200bhp. Yes that is correct.... In the light
chassis of the LR1 this gives the car an impressive 434bhp/ton.
|
Another
great result for the LR1 with 3rd in class in the 2 races at Cadwell
Park on 25th June, only being beaten by 1300cc powered cars the LR1
with it's standard 1000cc Yamaha engine proved itself yet again. Qualifying
was haunted by 2 red flags and with only 2 laps to set a time Jon
qualified in 6th for Race 1 & 2. The lap times in Race 1 speak
for themselves.

Not
only did the LR1 take class victory in the 750MC Bike Sports Championship
race at Silverstone on Aug 27th it also took pole position ahead of
many 1100cc and 1300cc power cars, took fastest lap and finished 3rd
overall. What a fantastic way to show it's true colours in it's racing
début.
